Eligibility Criteria:
You have to be a BC resident and
You have to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Only individuals can donate, not corporations.
How much can one contribute in 2024
For 2024, you can give a total of $1,450.82 to each registered political party, including its candidates, and registered constituency associations.
PS: If you donate $40 or more, you will automatically become member for 4 years, unless you indicate otherwise.
Tax Receipt Information:
The tax credit is calculated as the lesser of:
1. The total of:
– 75% of contributions up to $100
– 50% of contributions between $100 and $550
– 33 1/3% of contributions in excess of $550
